Curry Community Health’s School-Based Health Center, formerly located at 629 Easy Street (in the modular building in the parking lot of Brookings-Harbor High School) has closed effective end-of-day Feb. 27, 2020.
The BHHS School-Based Health Center was a medical clinic that offered children and youth healthcare with a clinic located on Brookings-Harbor School District school grounds. The SBHC had a Public Health Nurse, a Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Mental Health Therapist on staff.
Mental and behavioral health care services through CCH will continue for students, however all drop-in and appointment services are discontinued. These include contraceptive health and prescriptions for males and females, diagnostic tests, vaccinations, crisis intervention, wellness checks and urgent care for common illnesses and ailments, and sports physicals.
Brookings-Harbor School District will share more information and resources for students and families when available. Some services may still be accessed off-campus at the Curry Community Health clinic at 615 5th St., Brookings.
